Pterodactyl
What is lovely is that now my sons just assume I can whip up anything with ‘my crochet’. Their confidence in my basic skills is thrilling!
For this though, when I was asked, “Mummy, can you made me a pterodactyl?” I said yes, and I’d finished it the next day.
Though apparently I got the colours the wrong way around, but it’s “OK, you can just make another one.”
Pattern: Petra the Pterodactyl by Theresa’s Crochet Shop.

Finished head. This pattern taught me an alternative to the magic ring, which I will be using for those moments where I forget how to make one, which is frequent despite me successfully starts lots of projects using one.

My son helpfully drew a pterodactyl as he was concerned at this point that I didn't know what one looked like.

Body complete.

Adding the wings.

He's finished and adorable!
